Bistro 333 Grand Opening

MILWAUKEE, WIS. (March 25, 2009) – April 15th, Milwaukeeans and visitors will experience a fresh eatery where urban chic and casual comfort meet.  Bistro 333, the new first-floor restaurant at the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee, will serve comfort classics infused with a local twist.  The addition is part of the $19+ million renovation to upgrade the hotel’s public spaces, guest rooms and dining outlets.

“We’ve enlisted some of the region’s best culinary talents to create something truly unique,” said Gerald Rappaport, general manager of Hyatt Regency Milwaukee.  “With its tantalizing menus, warm décor, unassuming atmosphere and proximity to downtown events, Bistro 333 and Bar 333 will be the city’s gathering place for dinner before a show, drinks after the game, or a working breakfast or lunch,” said Rappaport.

Generous portions, local ingredients and indigenous preparations will be standard for all items featured on the breakfast, lunch and dinner menus created by veteran Milwaukee chef Michael Downey and Executive Chef of Hyatt Regency Milwaukee George Herrera.  Bringing more than 20 years of combined culinary experience, the two have invented such signature dishes as Beer Battered Walleye Fingers, Crayfish Cakes, Braised Spare Ribs with Lakefront Brewery Maple Root Beer™ Glaze, Veal Schnitzel served with a Sunny-Side-Up Egg, Grilled Pork Chop with a Bacon Roasted Apple Jus, plus a series of five sliders – Angus Burger, Tuna Melt, Crayfish Cake, Brat Pattie, and Panko Crusted Perch – that allow diners to mix and match in groups of three.

Beyond distinctive culinary creations, the restaurant’s lounge, Bar 333, will offer an assortment of fresh-made, hand-shaken drinks designed by Restaurant General Manager Ray Weissert and his trained team of Liquid Chefs.  An extensive wine list featuring over 60 regional and imported varieties will also grace the menu.
